Can you eliminate the VCT as in disable it or even lock it.
Well, there's two guaranteed options to eliminate VCT.. one is a VCT delete kit, which is about $100 and allows you to throw a adj. cam gear on. The other is a non-vct intake cam for the SVT head. That is costly. ~$750
I'm going to be a guinea pig for a new type of tune that copies the SVT's VCT parameters onto the ZX2's tune. We'll see how it goes

I'm aware of the VCT delete kit, i'm in the process of making several delete kits for the exhaust cam on the ZX2.  Also on the idea of the tune that should prove valuable to the ZX2 community.

I've now done several renovations to the swap to make it more daily drivable. I recently upgraded the throttle body to a CFM 67mm and changed to a K&N 3" hi-flow filter. The throttle response is nuts now, and I love it. I'm going to midnight mayhem on Friday to see what the car can do :]

Don't do it to an automatic.. you won't enjoy it if you run it at the track. This head gives you no bottom end power whatsoever..
But the top end is amazing. :]
