Wow in pa we get them same day, they check your background history, check your medical records to make sure your not a loon and your criminal record to see if you have one and you got one. PA FTW

yeah, i gotta go through a full federal background check.  those generally take 2-3 months =/  but, that means that as long as i keep my cpl, i wont have to get a background check or anything for work, which is a big deal for me.  working with kids, people usually have to get several different background pieces checked every 2 years. ...i wont have to do that now :)
